Yes I am a seasoned traveller!
I have been to Hong Kong, Abi Dubai, Australia (Perth, Melbourne, Great Ocean Road, Brisbane, Sydney, Cairns, East Coast), America (Boston, New York, Cape Cod, LA), Gran Canaries, Barcelona, Malaga, Belgium, United Kingdom oh the list goes on…
Sometimes when I look back on the places that I have visited it seems so surreal as if my distant memories are just dreams. The funny thing is that’s exactly what they once were, I often dreamt of sipping cocktails by the dancing fountains in Barcelona or posing at the steps of the Sydney Opera House. I longed for the outlet malls of Boston and the star studded streets of New York City. Well luckily I had the confidence to make my dreams a reality, why go through life wanting when you can save up and get the means to go do. Life is too short and this is one of my mottos! Hakuna Matata, Carpe Diem, You Only Live Once why waste it!
My advice for as much as it means is to seize the day, if there is something you want in the world anything you can dream big enough for then turn your dreams in to a reality and don’t have any regrets. As I grow older I look back on my life with fond memories and some unimaginable experiences. You’re never too old to travel, to start to write to even start a new career, the only obstacle holding you back is you. So if you want it then look in to the ways you can get it, things in life that are worth having don’t come easily so yes you may have to put in some hard work and yes it will take time but oh boy will it be worth it
Some fun facts that I learned that show you’re never too old to follow a dream:
At 46 years old (and in recovery from addiction to cocaine and heroin) starred in his first hit movie alongside John Travolta in Pulp Fiction.
Kroc had passed his 50th birthday before he bought the first McDonald’s in 1961, which he ultimately expanded worldwide.
Rowling was 32 when Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was published. Rowling apparently got by on napkins, which she used as paper to write the first few chapters of Harry Potter. Even if this isn’t true, Rowling is now the 12th richest woman in the UK.
Vera Wang started out as a figure skater who failed to make it to US Olympic figure-skating team. She later became an editor at Vogue but was passed over for the editor-in-chief position. So, she took it in her own hands and started designing wedding gowns at 40, and is now an incredibly famous and lucrative fashion designer.
